Princess Aura / Priscilla Lawson Sites: There is only one site you need to go to and that is Tony LoBue's Flash Gordon site to find the best pictires, biography, etc. about Princess Aura / Priscillsa. It is the motherlode of information. As I mentioned, the only reason for this web site was to give Princess Aura her very own site. Otherwise, the work and reasearch done by Tony on Princess Aura / Priscilla's behalf certainly renders the homage that this royal vixen deserves. The pages for each of the main charcters and the three serials are a lot of fun to view. His investigative skills and dedication are to be highly commended. Make sure you check out the bio-page for Priscilla. You'll see in Priscilla Lawson's Filmography that she was in a lot of films, but many were uncredited roles. Amazon.com doesn't have a lot of these films available, so some of her performances may be lost forever. Priscilla, I'm sure, made her impact in even the smallest role. If the mood stikes you, enter Priscilla Lawson into a http://www.google.com search and view the whole grand scale of the number of sites where this vivacious lady is mentioned. Use the name Priscilla Lawson, if you put "Princess Aura", you end up going to a lot of sites about the movie Flash Gordon from the 1980s. Flash Gordon Sites: After Tony's site, these are the ones I found most interesting. It will become evident as you read the articles, that everyone gave Priscilla Lawson and the character Princess Aura the admiration, respect, and credit for the tremendous contribution she made to the success of the serial. I couldn't agree more with Grant Tracey about Princess Aura's importance to the film's success, even though he calls her Phyllis Lawson. He gives an intelligent discussion of Aura's powerful character over the "wimpette" Dale and the hidden social commentary in the film. There is Gary Johnson's excellent site on Serials including a lot more stuff on Flash Gordon. Both Grant and Gary collaborated on one more discussion of the serial. Judy Harris gives a female disertation about the serial. She discusses how Princess Aura is a much better female role model than Dale. Her site also gives screen credits for all main charcters and a chapter by chapter synopsis. Believe it or not there is a college level study guide posted on the web for the Flash Gordon serial. Craig Pierce, from across the pond, dedicated a site to the serial. He's not into Aura but he's got some interesting sound bites, pictures, and, if your interested, you can download a streaming video of the opening credits. Interestingly enough, Priscilla got billing over Frank Shannon(Dr. Zarkov).
